practical theory
Our Fish Dynamics & Rhythm adventures continued over the next week or so…
The students played Rhythm Flashcard of their choice with the percussion instrument provided, then flipped the Dynamic Fish and played the rhythm however the fish directed them. We used Fast, Slow, Loud, Soft again, to become more familiar with the musical terms.
Once all the fish were upturned, the students played each rhythm in order, with the instrument provided, using the dynamics indicated. This helps consolidate both rhythmical learning development and remembering the musical terms for dynamics.
We then continued on with piano work in their books. Some students were introduced to Book 2, with the Easter Rabbit song & game. I’ll go into more detail about this activity in another post.
