A great big welcome to all the new parents joining our musical adventure this year…. and of course, a lovely big welcome back to all those friendly faces from last year!
Lessons are indeed beginning this week!
For new students and families, please know that the first few weeks of term (particularly at the beginning of the year) can tend to be a little chaotic, with enrolment forms still coming in (therefore new students joining), sorting students into the best possible groups (which can change for a variety of reasons), figuring out the best time slots with school and working with scheduled school events…there are quite a number of factors which can influence your child’s music lessons and when they are held.
With this in mind, please know that the school and I do our absolute best to work together in creating a schedule which works for everyone…I humbly ask for your patience through this process.
This coming week sees a few classes with swimming lessons and so on, which could effect lessons.
So, for this week, I will be at school for three days…Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
MONDAY will be an organising day (moving the music equipment back into the OSHC room, checking times with teachers etc), and
I will be teaching those KEYBOARD STUDENTS who have opted for individual 30 minute lessons on this day.
WEDNESDAY, is the day for all GUITAR lessons.
FRIDAY, I will teach RECORDER, GROUP KEYBOARD and VOICE students.
Hopefully, this way I will be able to teach all students their lessons, allowing for any contingency plans and adjustments!
At this stage, the normal schedule will be:
MONDAY- ALL KEYBOARD & VOICE
WEDNESDAY- ALL GUITAR & RECORDER
….but this may change, depending on further enrollments etc. I will update you via this site, so please ensure you’re subscribed!
A WARM, FRIENDLY REMINDER that this term sees me offering VOICE LESSONS at HALF PRICE for families- any child within the same nuclear family of an instrumental student can participate in our fun vocal sessions for half the usual fee!
Your INVOICES will be distributed early this week- so please keep your eye on your child’s bag (especially down the bottom- it tends to be where those rascally note-gobbling bag monsters hide out!).
